It includes the course Cultural and educational journalism: technologies and genres, a creative seminar (1-2 semesters) and an internship (2 semesters), which is carried out on the basis of the TSU information centers and the Tomsk mass media.

A separate area of specialization of the program is related to mastering modern technologies of content preparation for electronic media. It includes practical courses "Electronic book publishing", "Editorial preparation of electronic publications", "Methods of designing web resources", "Visual (digital) semiotics and design", "Technologies for creating media content" and practice in electronic publishing (3-4 semester), carried out on the basis of TSU information centers.
