Medical examination and fingerprinting:


According to Federal Law No. 274-FZ dated July 1, 2021 "On Amendments to the Federal Law "On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation" and the Federal Law "On State Fingerprint Registration in the Russian Federation":

you undergo a medical examination once a year.

Students need to independently track information about when the term of their medical examination ends. And, if the deadline is approaching, then you need to go through re-examination.

For all international students who have arrived in Russia, you must complete the following steps:
  1. To register for migration at the place of residence (according to Federal Law No. 109-FZ of 18.07.2006 "On migration registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation");
  2. To undergo a medical examination, which includes tests for infections (HIV, syphilis, tuberculosis), the presence of narcotic, psychotropic and other toxic substances, doctors' appointments (infectious disease specialist, psychiatrist-narcologist, phthisiologist, dermatovenerologist), lung fluorography, in one of two medical centers with a license:
  • "Zdoroviy Ya" (Tomsk, Irkutskiy tract, 15, p. 1. Opening hours: from 11:00 to 17:00. Make an appointment and get additional information by phone: 90-22-02, 48-25-25).
  • Tomsk Phthisiopulmonological Medical Center (Tomsk, Krasnoarmeyskaya str., 68. Opening hours: on weekdays from 9:00 to 16:30. Make an appointment and get additional information by phone: 60-77-78).
To undergo a medical examination, you must have:
  • Identity document (with translation into Russian if necessary);
  • Migration card and its copy;
  • Visa and its copy (if available);
  • Information about the place of registration in the territory of the Russian Federation.
To undergo fingerprinting within 90 days from the date of entry into the territory of the Russian Federation (Tomsk, Proletarskaya st., 33 (Department for Migration, Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Tomsk region). Reception hours: Monday - Friday from 9:00 to 18:00, lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00).

Have the following documents with you:
  • Identity document;
  • Notarized translation of the passport (except if the information in the identity document is in Russian);
  • A certificate of medical examination (issued no later than 1 month);
  • According to the results of fingerprinting, a laminated form (card) with a photo image and the owner's installation data will be issued to a foreign citizen. Mandatory state fingerprint registration and photographing are carried out by the internal affairs bodies once and without levying state; duties, regardless of the number of entries /exits to the Russian Federation.

P.S. in case of non-fulfillment of obligations to undergo mandatory state fingerprint registration, photographing and (or) medical examination in respect of such foreign citizens, the issue of reducing the period of temporary stay in the Russian Federation will be considered.
 

Border crossing:


When entering Russia, full-time and part-time students are required to fill out a migration card and indicate the purpose of entry "study". Another purpose of entry is a violation of the migration legislation of the Russian Federation.
